Third Annual Tutor Conference

Saturday, October 14, 2017 

This professional development conference is for all Literacy Nassau volunteers who want to learn strategies for working with their adult basic literacy students, English language learners and/or book club members.  It will be on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

The conference will be a full day of informative, enjoyable hands-on workshops presented by Literacy Nassau staff and guest speakers.  We will also have vendor exhibits to peruse.  The day will begin with a catered, continental breakfast, followed by an introduction by our Executive Director, Karen Micciche.  Self-selected, 60 minute breakout sessions will be scheduled throughout the day. The day will include a catered lunch with an address from a keynote speaker.

The cost for Literacy Nassau volunteers is $25 (to cover the cost of meals, workshops, and giveaways).  If you are not a Literacy Nassau volunteer, there is a fee of $50.  Payments can be made by check or as an online Paypal donation.  Registration is open until October 10th for the first 100 registrants.  Registration is not guaranteed until payment is received.
